Every day the world seems to be more of a mess. Fighting, killing, political bullshit flood the news. Our economy is tanking leaving once vital factories vacant and falling down around us. Some of my photos reflect that, but many others are meant as little reminders that there are still some amazing, life affirming, miracles in this Broken World.

Peace for Those Who Mourn
I could not stay another day,
To Love, to Laugh, to Work or Play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with Remembered Joy.
An Irish Prayer
Epitaph
"Affliction sore long time, Physicians art was vain, Till God did please to give, And free her from her pain."
Memorial Day
Here in the USA we will be observing Memorial Day weekend in just a few days. For many, it is a time to remember our fallen soldiers. For others, it is a day for planting flowers at the graveside of loved ones who have passed. Growing up, our parents drove us to local cemeteries and pointed out the headstones of family members who had, in many cases, passed long before we were born. Today's postings salute those who preserved our freedom and, in some small way, remember the children taken before they had a chance to live.

One Love
I find it encouraging that young people still believe in Peace. We need more of that shit spread around.
Awesome Stonework Siding
Per the Roman Numerals, this was completed in 1974. Imagine the time and care that went into picking and placing all of those stones.

Not so Ancient History
If so many people once turned to God for answers that they required such an ostentatious church, where do they seek guidance now?
Open Windows
This factory has been abandoned for years. I find it odd that they left so many windows opened. Maybe it was last used on a hot, summer day.
